About Us
A little background....
Serving the local community since 2002

Whether you need a one-off venue for a party or function, a regular meeting place for a group or class, conference facilities or somewhere to celebrate that special occasion, Alconbury Memorial Hall offers a range of flexible options that can cater for everything from intimate gatherings to social events for up to 300 guests.

Located within the heart of the village, the Alconbury Memorial hall is a community centre, easily accessible to local residents and guests alike. Close proximity to the A1(M), and the A14, combined with ample free parking, make the hall easy to reach and the modern facilities on offer provide great value for money in a pretty village setting.

Alconbury Memorial Hall was built in 2002 on a greenfield site following the award of a major lottery grant from the community fund. In addition, generous grants were made by the Alconbury Parish Council, Huntingdon District Council, WREN (The Waste Recycling Environment Fund) and others.

The hall is currently used by many village based groups including the WI, Overs 60s, WEA, Parish Council, Scout and Guiding groups, as well as holding regular dance and exercise classes.

It is also home to the Alconbury Community Pre-School.

The objective of the Alconbury and District Community Hall Charity is “to provide and maintain a Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parishes of Alconbury and Alconbury Weston in the county of Cambridgeshire without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation, sporting and leisure-time occupations, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.”

The Hall, and this website, is managed and run by the Memorial Hall Alconbury Executive Committee, who can be contacted if you have any quetions, or comments about the website, via the 'contact us' tab at the top of the page.
